Hike/Webinar Leaders

If you are passionate about a nature topic and want to share your knowledge with others, this is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!


Role Responsibilities


  • Prepare for and lead a webinar on a nature topic of your choice/expertise (eg. Plant ID, animal tracks, insects, fungi etc.) and/or a Nature Quest Guided Hike on one of Muskoka Conservancy’s Nature Reserves.


Qualifications


  • Must be knowledgeable about the nature topic you plan to speak about
  • Should have experience in education and be comfortable speaking to various audiences
  • For webinars: experience with online technology (ppt, Teams etc.)
  • For Nature Quests: comfortable leading a group on a trail/through the woods.

  • We are always looking for Special Guest Speakers/Hike Leaders to share their expertise on different and interesting nature topics to help connect the community to nature.
