Event Coordination & Support
Do you have a flair for event planning and organizing? Do you love Muskoka Conservancy and want to spread the word about Nature Conservation? If so, our Event Coordination and Support team sounds like a great fit for you!
Role Responsibilities
- Assist with event planning, logistics and preparation
- Support communication with vendors, partners and participants
- Attend select community events across Muskoka
- Assist with set-up and take-down of table/booth at events, including various MC materials (furs, antlers, sign up sheets etc.)
- Provide information to community members about MC (info sheets will be provided)
- Provide on-site support
- This is a flexible role in which you can provide the type of support you enjoy, depending on the requirements of each event.
Qualifications
- Some event planning experience and lots of enthusiasm
- Basic understanding of the mission of Muskoka Conservancy
- Comfortable engaging with the public
- Comfortable being an ambassador for Muskoka Conservancy.
Why we do it
In-person events are a great way to engage with the community and keep everyone up to date on our current projects and successes. They help us to spread the word about what Muskoka Conservancy does and potentially reach broader audiences. They also give the public an opportunity to ask questions, learn about our mission, and potentially become involved by joining our email list, becoming volunteers, members or donors.
