Jade Walker - Community Animator

Muskoka born and raised, Jade is entering her second year at Queen's University, where she is studying Environmental Science and Political Studies with plans to pursue a career in environmental policy and legislation. In her summer role as Community Animator for Muskoka Conservancy, she's equally at home tackling invasive species in the field and creating engaging social media content.

Growing up in Muskoka, Jade says she always appreciated the natural world, but being out in the field has shown her that, as important as studying ecosystems is, environmental stewardship is just as much about building a meaningful connection to the land. She's excited to continue learning, contributing, and helping protect the places that inspire her.
